New Year Celebrations

2013 Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration was held by Buddhist Cultural Center Letchworth (BCCL) on 27th April 2013 at The Free Church Hall, Norton Way, Letchworth. The distinguish guest was Mr. H.M.K. Herath The First Secretary, Sri Lankan High Commission.

2012 Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration was held by Buddhist Cultural Center Letchworth (BCCL)on 21st April 2012 at The Free Church Hall, Norton Way, Letchworth. The distinguish guests were Dr.Mrs. Kokila Vaidyarathne, Ministr, Sri Lankan High Commission, Mr. H.M.K. Herath The First Secretary,Sri Lankan High Commission and The Leader of North Hertfordshire District Council, Councilor Mrs.Lynda Needham and Mr Needham.

2011 Sinhala and Tamil New Year celebration was held by Buddhist Cultural Community Centre Letchworth (BCCL) on 16th April 2011. The distinguish guests were The Acting High Commissioner of Sri Lanka in UK His Excellency Mr.P.M.Amza and Mrs.Amza, The Chairman of North Herts District Council Mr.David Levett and Mrs.Levett and the guest speakers were Dr.Sunil Kariyakarwana Buddhist Lay Chaplain, M.O.D UK and Venerable Dr.Kabalewe Sirisumana Thero, Head of the Buddha Vihara, Plaistow, London.

The Sri Lankan New Year celebrations organised by the Letchworth Buddhist Community Centre was held at Wilbury Junior School, Letchworth Garden City under the guidance of the Chief Incumbent Venerable. Nahalle Rahula and the resident monk Venerable. Nallure Sangharathana, on Saturday the 17th April 2010.
