The Poson celebration was held by Buddhist Cultural Center Letchworth (BCCL) on 2nd and 3rd June, 2012. A special retreat (Sill program) was arranged at the temple premises with the guidance of the Chief Incumbent Ven. Dediyawala Wimala Thero and the resident monk Ven. Kahaduwe Shanthideva Thero. on Saturday 2nd June.

Lecthworth Buddhist Vihara celebrated 2011 POSON Poya on 25th June at Lady Haward Memorial Hall, Letchworth Garden City. This memorable event was attended by a large gathering of devotees of the Temple. The celebration started by observing the five precepts administered by Ven.Dediyawala Wimala Thero. Followed by a Dhamma sermon delivered by Ven.Dr.Handupelpola Mahnida Maha Thero (Kingsbury Temple) and ATAVISI POOJAWA was conducted by Ven.Dr.Kabaleva Sirisumana Maha Thero, (Buddha Vihara-Plaistow).

Poson celebrations in Letchworth Garden City organised by the Letchworth Buddhist Community centre was held on Saturday the 26th June to commemorate the introduction of Buddhism to Sri Lanka by Arahath Maha Mahinda Thera in the 3rd Century BC.The celebrations took place at the Mrs. Howard Memorial hall in the Letchworth Garden City. The hall was decorated with a beautiful pavilion for the Atavisi Buddha Puja.
