The Letchworth  Buddhist Temple carried out the traditional coloring of the Katina Cheewara (Katina Robe) for the second year running with the leadership of Ven. Sooriyawewa Kusala Thero. on Saturday 17th October, 2015 at the temple premises. The main sponsors of the Katina this year are Mr. and Mrs. (Dr.) Dedigama Dharmadasa, Mr. & Mrs. Prasaj de Silva, Mr. & Mrs. Thanuja Gunaratne, Dr. Gihan Herath and Mrs. Sharmali Kodituwakku and their families and friends.

The coloring of the robe was carried out in a specially built wooden bath by Mr. Prasaj de Silva. There was a huge turnout of devotees to observe the event.
